How much does wedding photography in Hawaii cost?  To answer this question, costs vary a lot because we all set our own prices. For example, some photographers charge over $4000, while some others other’s charge under $1,000. However, paying higher prices don’t mean you get higher quality photography. The safest way to ensure you get nice photos is to look at the actual photos, and use your own judgement.

There are many wedding photographers in Oahu. It can be confusing. So, when choosing the most importsnt thing is to carefully look at the photos. Also, as you’ll know, any photographer can easily can photograph expensive ceremony and reception set-ups. The biggest differences between wedding photographers can be seen in photos of couples together. So, when looking at different photographers work you might ask yourself some of the following questions:

• Are the photos flattering?
• Look at the way the couple are positioned, and ask yourself, is this positioning flattering to them?
• There are several very common ‘poses’ that look good. However several of them only suit about 10% of the population.  Look to see if the photographer repeats the same ‘positioning’ several times. If so,  you might want to ask yourself, does this ‘positioning’ suit me?

On the question of how to look elegant in your wedding photos? This is where a good photographer come in. There are many things that will make your photos look more elegant. However, there are also many things photographers do that make photos less elegant. As the famous British photographer David Bailey said ” The most important thing for a photographer is to have an eye”. He photographed many celebrities and also shot for British Vogue. While seeing their personalities, he guided them look their most beautiful. Following these principles is what led to his positioning.  Not trying to fit his clients into positions he’d seen before. Hence, from things you do naturally, your photos will be elegant, and they’ll reflect you.

Facial analysis leads to seeing the angles that make you look your most beautiful. This is  important as when people look at your photos they’ll firstly look at your face. Due to this, my first priority is finding the best angles angles, to ensure balance and symmetry. All wedding photographers in Oahu have their own vision and see things differently. My vision is seeing and then emphasizig your beauty. To help with this, before your wedding, I’ll ask if you can send a me photo of you both together. This gets me into the ballpark. I then have an idea of the kinds of angles to create to highlight your beauty. Next, I like to ask what you like. What’s your favorite side, how you like your hair, things like that. Above all, long after your wedding, it’ll be the photos of you both together that you’ll most cherish.

Moving forward to your wedding day. During your ceremony, I simply take candid photos, capturing all your heartfelt moments.  However, when photographing you both together, I do give some guidance. In doing this, I often demonstrate things so you can both see what I mean. It’ll be a fun joint effort. For guys it’s very simple. For women, I sometimes use ‘easy to do’ fun techniques invented by fashion photographers. My suggestions for small adjustments are different for every couple. These simple suggestions stem come from what I’m seeing. Further, I’ve always done all the editing myself. Cleaning up photos in photoshop. This has caused me to constantly review all the photos all adjustments.  From this, I’ve become very attentive to many subtle details. Things that will make you look your most beautiful.
