Ceremony questions:
What are the best beaches for sunset ceremonies on oahu?
If you’re looking to stay close to Waikiki, then we recommend Magic island. It’s just 5 minute drive from Waikiki, and has beautiful sunsets over the ocean.
What are the best beaches for sunrise ceremonies on Oahu?
Waialae beach has sunrises over the ocean, as does Sandy beach.
What do we do if it's raining at the beach we selected?
If it’s just raining, we recommend getting out our umbrellas, and it actually leads to really ‘cute’ photos. Unless there are dangerous conditions, such as extremely high wind gusts, we would try to find a drier area for your ceremony.
Can you help us with our timeline so we're not running late?
yes, we can advise you on your timeline. The main thing is to plan in some ‘wiggle room’, so this way you’re not rushed. it’s always a great idea to plan to arrive early, depending on how far you’ll need to travel.
What if the officiant is sick?
If Ellsworth was sick, he would let you know as soon as he knew. He knows many offficiant’s on Oahu, so would offer you alternative experienced officiants for you to chose from. Or if you prefer, we would refund your officiant fee, and you could get whichever officiant you may prefer.
What are the best beaches for sunset ceremonies if we're willing to drive to a more secluded beach?
The North shore has several beautiful secluded beaches, such as Kewala bay, which is perfect for sunset ceremonies.
Photography questions:
Who will be photographing us?
I (Dylan) will be the one photographing you for all your photos.
How long does it take before we get our photos?
Within a week, I email a link to you containing 25 of your photos so you can show your friends. Within 2 weeks, I’ll email to you another link containing the rest of the 100 edited photos. Within a month, I’ll fedex you your edited video
Can we get our own prints made from our digital files?
Yes, you can use your high resolution photos however you like. You can get yuor own prints mad, e and can post any online.
Videography questions:
Who will be taking our video?
While I’m photographing your ceremony, the video cameras ( on tripods) will be recording your ceremony. I keep them recording while I’m taking photos of you both. In addition, I also shoot more romantic video of you both having fun together. I’m also the one who edits your video.
How long does it take before we receive our video.
I fedex a thumbdrive of your edited video to you within a month of your ceremony.
Packages Questions:
Is it the same price for elopements and vow renewals?
Yes, our package prices are exactly the same for both elopements and vow renewal ceremonies.
Can we choose our own vendors?
Yes, for your ceremony, you can hire just Ellsworth for $300. This is our Aloha package. You can also hire just me, Dylan for photography for $500
When are payments due?
There is a 50% retainer upon booking us. The balance being due one month before your ceremony date.
What methods of payments do you take?
You would pay us individually. Ellseworth takes Paypal, Venmo, and payments via cheque. I (Dylan) also take Paypal, and cheques as payments.
How to we receive our contract?
We email to you a copy of your contract. This specifies we have reserved the date for your elopement or vow renewal ceremony. It also specifies what your package includes, and your payments. We can then confirm everything else via email.
Getting your marriage license:
How do we get our marriage license in Hawaii?
- Apply online at marriage.ehawaii.gov
- pay the $65 fee
- Make an appointment with a license agent
- bring your application receipt and the required documents for your appointment
- Pick up your license from the license agent
- Have your officiant file the legal documentation
- Wait for your mariage certificate to arrivein the mail
