You apply for your Hawaii marriage license online before your arrival.  When you arrive in Hawaii you pick up the document from an authorized marriage license agent. After your ceremony, your officiant will file the legal documentation. The state will then mail your marriage certificate document to you within 4 to 6 weeks. All couples are responsible for applying for and picking up the marriage license. For couples outside of the United States, verify your countries legal requirements. In addition to the Hawaii marriage certificate, check if an apostile is also needed. The State of Hawaii does not require a witness.
